Coastal Ideas Review

Write for us

Coastal Ideas Review welcomes pitches that help readers notice, use or care for the places and things of coastal life. We are interested in specific, evergreen ideas that suit a thrifty, reuse-minded outlook and can be understood without specialist credentials.

What to pitch

Propose a clear subject with one main idea: an explanation of a coastal detail, a comparison that helps readers think through options, an account of an object or custom, or a modest guide to an everyday occasion. Strong ideas have a distinct point, useful context and a scope that does not depend on current headlines.

Make it grounded

Tell us what makes the subject worth a reader's attention, what the piece would cover and what material would support its claims. We value careful distinctions between fact and opinion, practical awareness of limits, and suggestions that favour care or reuse where appropriate. Avoid unsupported claims, invented access and instructions involving hazards or specialist checks.

Send a proposal

Use the Contact page to send a short pitch and a brief note about your relevant perspective. Include a working title, the intended reader and the piece's central idea. Please send a proposal rather than a completed article unless we have agreed otherwise; a submission is not a promise of publication.
